Professional eye exam, contact-lens fitting, multifocal lenses — the foundation behind every choice you make at our boutique.

Our approach

Every eyewear choice begins with precise measurement

We start from the same place we started in 1985: understanding your personal need. Reading vision differs from driving vision; multifocal lenses require different fitting than single-vision lenses; contact lenses need corneal measurement, not just diopter.

That's why every customer who walks into the store passes through the clinic first — even if they came just for a frame. A frame without properly fitted lenses is an accessory, not eyewear.

  • Comprehensive eye exam including intraocular pressure
  • Professional fitting of soft and hard contact lenses
  • Multifocal lenses — consultation and fitting by lifestyle
  • Consultation for children, professional drivers, and heavy readers

What are multifocal lenses, really?

Multifocal lenses are the modern solution for people over 45 who need correction for both near and far vision simultaneously. Unlike the old bifocal lenses (which had a visible dividing line), multifocal lenses create a gradual transition between focus ranges — far (driving), intermediate (computer screen), and near (book or phone).

The good news: multifocal technology has improved dramatically in the last two decades. The less good news: not all multifocal lenses are equal, and the right fit depends on your lifestyle — someone spending 8 hours in front of a screen needs a different lens than someone who drives a lot.

We advise, measure, and fit. After over 40 years in the profession, we have patience for the process.

The fitting process — four steps

1

Professional eye exam

Comprehensive test of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and eye structure.

2

Lifestyle conversation

What do you do during the day? How much screen time? Lots of driving? Heavy reading? Every answer affects lens selection.

3

Tailored recommendation

Based on the exam and conversation, we recommend the right lens type — single-vision, progressive, or advanced multifocal.

4

Fitting and adjustment

After you receive your eyewear — a follow-up meeting to ensure a perfect fit. Minor adjustments are free.
